The time required for a simple website is around 2-4 hours on the customer side. At the beginning of the project, content is compiled by the customer or we work with existing content, for example from the current customer website. As part of the revision round, change requests can then be specified the time required here varies depending on the scope of the change requests. We have structured all processes in such a way that we can keep the time expenditure on the customer side as low as possible.
Since your content is optimally integrated into the design by us, we can only start development once we have received all of the content from you and our designers have been able to get a comprehensive picture of the project.
This is the only way the team can develop a good feeling for your new website and create a suitable design. If your content is not available but you would like to start developing, you have the following options:
- Develop an attractive design with placeholders in place of your texts.
- Development based on texts from a suitable competitor.
- Copywriting by our copywriters & SEO experts.
Any placeholders and competition texts can then be replaced with your content in the course of the project. This way we use the time optimally (while you are creating the content).
Your project manager collects all necessary content and information right from the start. This includes texts, photos, videos, logo files, required access data (e.g. for hosting and domains), links / social media links and various information on your part about what you want and expect from your new website. We have developed a clear structure for collecting this information. In this way, gathering information does not take up much of your time.
We have also developed a clear structure for logo designs and other services. Efficiency and customer satisfaction are our top priority.
After all information & content has been sent to your contact person, the creation of the website only takes about 2-4 weeks.
During the revision rounds, you have the option of adapting the design of the website to your wishes. However, if there is no feedback for several months and the new website cannot be further developed for a long period of time due to customer fault, we reserve the right to calculate this for the following reasons:
- The software used changes. To ensure the security of your new website, we always keep it up to date. The website under development must be maintained and updated on a regular basis.
- The familiarization time of the programmers, designers and project managers involved multiplies after a long break in order to be able to find their way back into the project and work efficiently.
- The maintenance of the test server, on which the website is developed, results in ongoing costs on our part.
Thus, development time is usually limited in the web design industry. Above all, this provides a time frame and is intended to prevent the creation of a website from dragging on for many months.
The development time of homepages up to € 5,000 is therefore usually limited to 3 months. This is three to six times the time required on our site to develop a modern website exactly according to customer requirements. For websites above € 5,000, the development time is limited to 6 months. We have summarized more information on this in a blog post on the process. EXCEPTION: IF YOU ARE AWARE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PROJECT THAT THE CREATION WILL TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS (E.G. FOR ASSOCIATIONS OR SMES THAT HAVE A CLEAR SCHEDULE INCLUDING INTERNAL MEETINGS REGARDING THE NEW HOMEPAGE), THEN WE WILL BE HAPPY TO AGREE ON AN ALTERNATIVE TIMEFRAME. WITHOUT FURTHER COSTS!

The project duration can thus be shortened significantly – how many days it takes exactly depends on the following factors:
- Duration until all information & content on the new website is available.
- How quickly are change requests formulated within the framework of the revision rounds.
- Are all the logins transmitted (e.g. for hosting and domains) correct and have the necessary rights.

You can search for stock photos for specific subject areas and situations and acquire a license for the desired graphic so that you can legally use it on your own website.
